Ever thought about bringing the Renaissance into the Modern? Well, it’s actually a pretty nice mix! Miami can be full of city lights and beaches, but it also has its dreamy side that takes folks back in time to another time where everything was vintage.
Located in the heart of Coconut Grove, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is known to be a hidden gem in the Magic City. The villa and estate used to belong to James Deering back in the early 20th century. James Deering wanted a home away from home and believed Coconut Grove was the perfect location in Miami to have it. The architecture and garden landscapes were inspired by Veneto and Tuscan Italian Renaissance styles, along with the design of the estate containing a spice of Baroque elements, contributing to its Meditteranean Revival Architecture.
Nowadays, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is open to the public and it’s a beautiful place to experience, that is now known as one of the best places in Miami to take Wedding pictures, engagements, Quinceañeras, or to simply take pictures and enjoy the scenery! You are also able to take a tour of the estate, as well as dream along the gardens and fountains. My family and I had the chance to go a few times, and we never get tired of it. It’s amazing how one moment you are in a city, then when you enter the estate it feels like you’ve escaped all the hustle and bustle.
Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is a beautiful villa that really makes you dream, it shows you another side of our beautiful city!
Go visit and experience the magic!
Have fun,
